Minors: In preparation for their upcoming quarter-final in the championship, the Russell Brennan Keane sponsored minor team had a very good work-out against Garrycastle in a recent challenge game last Friday, winning on a scoreline of 1-22 to 3-10.

U-16s: The Derek Duggan Travel sponsored U-16s had a well fought win at home to Pádraig Pearses on Wednesday last, finishing on a final scoreline of 2-16 to 4-06. There were a number of excellent performances while a number of the U-14s introduced during the game also impressed. Team: Cormac McDonnell, Shane Fuery (0-1), Ciaran Walsh, Darren Carroll, James Curley, Brian Stack (0-1), Gavin Byrne, Luke Carty(0-1), Conor Murray, Donncha Gately (0-3), Ryan Jinks (1-2), Paul Daly (0-2), Keelan Byrne, Jack McDonnell (0-5), Colin Daly 1-1. Subs: Eoin Minagh for J. Curley, Eoin Egan for D. Gately, Niall Murray for K. Byrne, Brian Daly for C. Daly.

U-14s: The D & M O'Grady Builders sponsored U-14 team will play Roscommon Gaels in the championship semi-final on August 22nd. Venue to be fixed.

U-12s: The U-12 League is set to resume very shortly and the Millmount Maintenance Services sponsored squad will be notified of full details by their coaches.

U-10s: The Sheraton Hotel sponsored U-10s are scheduled to play Athlone next week in the next round of the Clann na nGael tournament. Players will be notified of full details in due course.

U-8s: The O’Rourke Fireplace sponsored U-8 boys played against a very well trained Ballycumber/Tubber team last Wednesday evening. This was the best team that they have played this year and it highlighted to the boys the importance of teamwork. We are hoping to have a rematch with Ballycumber/Tubber in the near future and hope there will be a full attendance at training which continues every Wednesday and Saturday. Team that represented St. Brigids: Sean Minnock, Charlie O’Carroll, Sam McHugh, Brendan Murphy, Niall Daly, Andrew Sheffield, Luke Sylvester, Cillian Curley, Bryan Mc Dermott, Jack Kinahan, Donnchadh O Reilly, Roan Trundle, Niall Derwin, Sean Tiernan, Robert Keenan, Euan Joyce, Owen Feeley, Michael Heneghan.

Croke Park Tours: A series of Croke Park tours are being organised for all underage squads. The trips will be subsidised by the club and will consist of a tour of the stadium and museum (which includes a St Brigid’s section) followed by a meal. The subsidised price for players will be €10 while the charge for adults will be €20. The U-8s, U-10s and U-12s have been booked in for tours on August 24th, 31st and September 1st respectively. Parents will be notified of full details in due course.

Coaching Camps: Following on from the success of the coaching camp for U-14s/U-16s and minors, further camps will be held for U-12s (August 17th), U-10s (August 24th ) and U-8s (August 31st).
