St. Brigid's GAA Club Notes 13th October 2013

Honouring of teams of the 50’s and 60’s 

 

St. Brigid’s GAA Club is hosting a function on 19th October to honour the great St. Brigid’s teams from 1952/53, 1958/59 and 1962/63.

For this special occasion we hope that all members of these great teams-players, subs, management can attend.

ST BRIGID'S MINOR COMMITTEE NOTES, WEEK ENDING SUNDAY OCTOBER 13th 2013  

 

U-16s: The Derek Duggan Travel sponsored U-16s are one step away from doing the league and championship double after defeating St. Ciaran's by 4-15 to 0-6 last Saturday night in the Division 1 league semi-final at Kiltoom. Team and scorers: Cormac McDonnell, Damon Daly, Dylan Kelly, Shane Fuery, Ciaran Walsh (1-1), Brian Stack, Darren Carroll, George O'Hara (0-2), Conor Murray (0-1), Fiachra Lennon (0-1), Jack McDonnell (0-5), Ryan Jinks (0-2), Ross Nestor (0-1), Luke Carty (2-1), Darren Carroll. Subs: Keelan Byrne, Jimmy Curley, Brian Daly (1-1), Niall Murray, Eoin Minagh. They now will face St Dominic's in the final at Kiltoom on Monday, October 28th at 2pm.

U-12s: The Millmount Maintenance Services sponsored U-12s are due to play Ferbane next week in their final game of the season. Players will be notified of full details during the week.

U-10s: The Sheraton Hotel sponsored St Brigid’s team are scheduled to play a visiting Claregalway squad on Friday next, October 18th, in Kiltoom. Players will be notified of full details during the week.

Presentation nights: The Minor Board Committee is holding its presentation nights on Friday, October 25th at 7pm for U-8s, U-10s and U-12s and Friday, November 8th at 7pm for U-14s, U-16s and U-18s. In addition to the many medals and trophies presented on these evenings, the committee will also be presenting every player with a Gaelic football to practice with at home.
