'CASH FOR CLOBBER'

*******DROP OFF THIS SATURDAY 25TH BEFORE 1PM*********

The Cash for Clobber is a fundraiser for St Brigid’s U14 boys team, representing club & county at this year’s Feile in Co Wexford. We need you to fill black bags with all your clean unwanted clothes (child & adult), bed linen, towels, curtains & soft toys. All clothing accepted as long as they are clean. Anything that is wearable will be given to charities & the rest will be recycled. Drop off is at St Brigids GAA on Sat 25th April before 1pm. The more bags we have the more money we make so please start filling those bags & ask all your family & friends to do the same!! We are happy to take bags off u in advance - call the numbers below. Roscommon U21

Commiserations to the Roscommon U21 team and their management following their defeat to Tyrone on Saturday last. We would also like to wish our number one Shane Mannion a speedy recovery after picking up an injury in the game.

O’Rourke Cup

St. Brigid’s 3-12, Elphin 4-8.

Our senior men recorded their fourth victory in as many games in the league on Sunday last in Elphin. In an extremely tight game, that saw six goals scored in the first twenty minutes, Brigid’s trailed for the vast majority of the game and managed to secure a one point victory just before the final whistle.

Our Junior team were unlucky to lose out to Eire Og in Kiltoom on Sunday last. Despite leading at half time 1-6 to 5 points, Eire Og rallied in the second half and came back to defeat us by 2 points.

U14 Girls Feile Round Two

Our U14 girls are through to the County Feile semi-final against Clann na nGael, after defeating Roscommon Gaels in Kiltoom on Wednesday last.

U16 Girls 2b Shield Final

Our U16 ladies lost out to a strong St. Croan’s side on Sunday last in Ballyleague.

Senior Ladies League

St. Brigid’s 3-5, Eire Og 2-8.

Our senior ladies drew at home to Eire Og on Friday night last. Eire Og were a very strong side but thankfully our ladies managed to come back and draw with them in the dying minutes of the game.

ST BRIGIDS MINOR COMMITTEE NOTES WEEK ENDING APRIL 19TH 2015

Our minors were defeated by St, Dominic's in the league 3-8 to 3-3 on Monday, however, they defeated St. Ciaran's on Thursday by 4-18 to 0-7.

Our under 16's were defeated by a strong Clan na nGael side by 1-13 to 3-05 in the league. Team: Seamus Smith, Keelan Connor, Eoin Minagh, Gary Daly, Pearse Frost, Cian McBrearty, Tommy Glynn, John Leonard, Niall Murray, Ian O'Rourke, Oisin Reilly, Ciaran Sugrue, Tommy O'Carroll, Donnchadh Gately, Paul McGrath, Subs: Daniel Sugrue, Liam Martin, Ronan Campbell, Jack Gartland, Brian Derwin, Billy McDonnell
Our under 14s defeated Clan na nGael in the Division 1 league by 2-17 to 0-4. In Division 4, our boys won by 1-16 to 1-2 against St. Dominic's. The Division 1 team play Eire Og on Thursday in Kiltoom at 7.30pm. The Division 4 team play Roscommon Gaels on Saturday at 11.30am in Lisnamult.

U-12s: Well done to the St Brigid’s U-12s who had three excellent victories in the opening rounds of the league over the weekend in Division 1, 4 and 5. Friday night saw a great team display away to Shannon Gaels in Division 4 in Croghan while on Sunday, a double was recorded over Roscommon Gaels in Division 1 and 4 at Lisnamult. A great start to the season and credit to all the lads who played some great football over the three games.
