U-12s: In the Division 1 Summer League, St Brigid’s had an excellent victory against Padraig Pearses on Friday last in Kiltoom. We started very strongly with a flurry of scores but Padraig Pearses came into the game in the second quarter to keep our players on their toes. In the second half, our lads found an extra gear to go on to record a comprehensive victory. The most pleasing aspect of the win was our team work and selfless play. Every player continues to work for one another and the coaches were very impressed with the team spirit and ethic. Panel v Padraig Pearses: Kevin Derwin, Shane Daly, Adam Donovan, David Dolan, Micheál Sugrue, Daniel Meeley, Daniel Keenan, Thomas O'Brien, Brian Nestor, Conor Hand, Bobby Nugent, Oisín Canny, Ronan Doyle, Jamie Curley, Harry Griselain, Paddy Higgins, Daniel Skehan, Martin O’Grady. On the Monday before, our whole panel had a very good work out in a challenge game away to St Gabriel’s in Kilconnell. In the next rounds of the summer league, the Division 1 team are scheduled to play Boyle in Kiltoom this Tuesday, July 21st, at 7.30 pm while the next Division 3 game is at home to Clann na nGael on Friday next, July 24th at 7.30 pm.

U-10s: The under 10s played Tubberclair away in the latest round of the Tormey's Tournament on Wednesday evening 15th July. Our 10's played well, were competitive throughout, but just fell short and were beaten by a few scores at the end. The 9's had a much tougher task who were missing some players and were comprehensively beaten. Thanks to Adrian Dolan and mentors of Tubberclair for hosting us on the evening.
