Sparkplug
The club are showing Sparkplug (A mesmerising piece of theatre) on Wednesday next the 23rd of April in the Hodson Bay Hotel at 8pm. We would like to extend our congratulations to Niall McInerney, Adrian Gleeson and all the county u21's and their management team on reaching the All Ireland Final.

Junior Tansey Cup

St. Brigid's 4-11, St. Joseph's 0-5.

Our Junior side had a comprehensive victory over St. Joseph's on Friday last in Kiltoom. Some well taken frees from Cormac Sheehy as well as goals from Kevin Quinn, Stephen Furey and David Cunniffe secured another league game victory for our junior side.

Zumba Classes
Zumba classes continue this Thursday in the clubhouse for both men and women from 8-9pm. Classes costs €50 for 7 classes. Everyone is welcome to come along.
 
Club Rossies
Club Rossie is a sub-group of the County Board which has been given responsibility for raising money for Roscommon Gaelic Games. In order to do so Club Rossie has set up various membership options for anyone wishing to support their county. The different membership options are detailed below and membership can be purchased from any St. Brigid's club executive member or online at clubrossie.ie. Please make sure to put St. Brigid’s down as your club when buying membership abroad or online.

Handball
Handball training is on every Sunday in Curraghboy handball complex and every Friday in St Brigids club Hall.
 
8Yrs to 10Yrs - Boys and Girls, 11am to 12 Noon (Curraghboy handball complex)
11Yrs to 13Yrs - Boys and Girls, 12 Noon to 1pm (Curraghboy handball complex)
11Yrs to 13Yrs - Boys and Girls, 7 – 8:30 (Fridays only – one wall - St Brigids club Hall)
 
Please note that Handball goggles must be worn by all participating. New members always welcome.   
Training will resume on Sunday 27th April 2014 after Easter break

Training
Training continues for all grades from U8s to Senior. Players will be notified of any changes to normal training times. We are always welcoming new members. Training schedules or further information on St. Brigids Ladies GAA contact 086 0876933.
Training for U 14 and U 16 girls continueson Tuesday evening at 7:30 at pitch. Training for U 12 girls continue on Thursday evening at 8 at the clubhouse. Training for U8s & U10s continues on Monday evening at 6.30 at clubhouse.
Minor and Senior Training from 8.30 on Saturday in clubhouse.
 
Team photographs
The Ladies Committee is aiming to put photographs of all winning Ladies teams down through the years on the clubhouse wall. Anyone who may be able to help with information on winning teams or may have photographs of relevant teams is asked to contact ladies Committee Chairman Tomás Beades.

ST BRIGIDS MINOR COMMITTEE NOTES WEEK ENDING APRIL 20th 2014

Minors: Well done to the minor squad who have now qualified for the Division 1 league final, which will be played on Thursday week,May 1st. In the final, they will play the winners of the Clann na nGael/St Ciaran’s game which was due to be played on Monday last.

U-16s: Following defeat away to Clann na nGael on Monday of last week on a scoreline of 6-13 to 2-12, St Brigid's got back to winning ways on Thursday last with a hard-fought victory a home to St Ciarans, prevailing on a scoreline of 2-18 to 4-9.

U-14s: It was a mixed week for the U-14s. In the Division 1 league, they lost at home to Oran on Friday evening on a scoreline of 6-16 to 2-12 but on Saturday morning last in the Division 4 league, the team had a convincing victory over Roscommon Gaels in Kiltoom. Final score: St Brigid’s 6-12, Roscommon Gaels 0-4. The team was scheduled to play Castlerea away in the Division 1 league on Monday.

U-12s: The U-12s are scheduled to play their first game in the Easyfix league at home to Galway side Monivea next Saturday. There may be a challenge game in advance of this game and players will be notified of full details during the week.

U-10s: The U-10s had their first games of the season on Wednesday night last to visiting teams Doon and Tubber from Offaly. Special mention must go to Sean Minnock who turned up to support his teammates despite being too ill to play. The following players played three games of 20 minutes each and every player put in great performances on the night. Squad: Bryan Armstrong, David Dolan, Matthew Samuels, Sol Trundle, Luke Whelan, Eanna McDonnell, Killian Curley, Billy Ray Dolan, Bryan McDermott, Bobby Nugent, Shane O'Boyle, Simon O'Boyle, Cormac Meeley, Noah Heavey, Andrew Sheffield, Luke Sylvestor, Thomas Muldoon, Brendan Murphy, Robert Keenan, Niall Derwin. The U-10s are looking for more help with the U-10s.
 
Also, if any parent, brother or sister would like to do match reports on games, that would be very useful.
