U10 Boys

Our U10 season finished up on Thursday night last with victory in the C Final of Tormey's Tournament in Johnstown against a very gallant Garrycastle team. This was a tremendous way to finish the year with both teams putting in superb performances to win by the tightest of margins on the night. A very special mention to William Leahy and all the Garrycastle team for the sporting nature in which both games were played. A big thank you to the management team and parents who all contributed to making our year very enjoyable.

St. Brigid's 4-11, Clan na nGael 2-7.

Our senior ladies took on neighbours Clan na ngael in the county semi-final last Saturday in Knockcroghery.
Clan opened the game with an early goal, kicking a number of points from play. Claire O Brien scored St. Brigids goal, with points from Claire Grehan, A. O’Brien and Sarah O’Rourke, half time score 1-9 to 1-4.
The second half St Brigids upped their game, goals from Sarah O’Rourke, A O’Brien, Claire O’Brien and Sarah Finnerty. The match was tightly contested between both teams, and went down to the wire, with Clan edging over the line with one point to spare.

The determination, skill and dedication of this group of players has to be admired, you have and you will continue to be wonderful ambassadors to all our underage girls in the club. So enjoy the break and we look forward to seeing you all back when the season starts again, in the red and green jersey.
