St. Brigid's golf societies first outing this year is in Athlone Golf Club this Saturday 29th March at 10am. The first outing is a scramble so draw takes place at 930am. All new members welcome. For more info contact Frankie on (087) 345 3845.

Club Rossie is a sub-group of the County Board which has been given responsibility for raising money for Roscommon Gaelic Games. In order to do so Club Rossie have set up various membership options for anyone wishing to support their county. Handball training is on every Sunday in Curraghboy handball complex and every Friday in St Brigids club Hall.

St. Brigid's GAA Club is delighted to announce that our weekly lotto is now available to play on-line, the jackpot, numbers and match three winners is all available also on this website.

The U-14 Squad had a good run out in a challenge game against Ferbane on Saturday evening last. The U-12s are scheduled to play Annaghdown in the first round of the Easyfix tournament this week. Players will be notified of details during the week.

Registration: With just a few days to go before the March 31st registration deadline, the Minor Committee is issuing a  final reminder to players to register in order to be eligible and to be insured to play for their team. Registration forms can be downloaded from the home page of the club website and are also available from team mentors. St Brigid’s Ladies Report wk. ending 23/03/2014


Training continues for all grades from U8s to Senior. Players will be notified of any changes to normal training times. We are always welcoming new members. Training schedules or further information on St. Brigids Ladies GAA contact 086 0876933.

Training for U 14 and U 16 girls continues on Tuesday evening at 7:30 at pitch. Training for U 12 girls continue on Thursday evening at 8 at the clubhouse. Training for U8s & U10s continues on Monday evening at 6.30 at clubhouse.

Minor and Senior Training from 8.30 on Saturday in clubhouse.



The Ladies Committee is again encouraging all players to register before March 31st in order to be eligible to play for their team. Club Registrar Anne Marie Murtagh can be contacted on (087) 9332954.

St. Brigid’s Pieta House sponsored U16 Girls team were defeated by Eire Og away in the championship last Sunday

Senior girls

St. Brigid’s  Hamrocks of Brideswell senior girls won at home to Kilglass Gaels  on Sunday last.


Team photographs

The Ladies Committee is aiming to put photographs of all winning Ladies teams down through the years on the clubhouse wall. Anyone who may be able to help with information on winning teams or may have photographs of relevant teams is asked to contact ladies Committee Chairman Tomás Beades.


Pieta House

The Roscommon Branch of Pieta House is organising a nine day sponsored walk around Roscommon from Sunday 30 march to Monday 7 April. Frankie Flynn, a member of the Roscommon Pieta House Committee, will walk the entire distance of the walk, accompanied in the various stages by people from sporting organisations as the walk progresses through their area. Sunday 30 March the walkers will be at Ganlys Athlone 1.30pm approx the walkers will pass through the parish on their way to Lecarrow where the walk finishes for that day.  Cards are available to sponsor the walkers at the bar in the club house
