ST BRIGID'S MINOR COMMITTEE NOTES, WEEK ENDING SUNDAY JULY 28th 2013
U-16s: The game scheduled against Roscommon Gaels last Sunday will be re-fixed.
U-14s: Our u-14 team had a convincing win against St. Dominic's on Thursday in the last game in their championship group. Early goals from Brian Derwin and Eoin Egan set them on the way to a comfortable half time lead. The team was changed around in the second half and the players introduced failed to let the tempo drop. Ciaran Sugrue and Ian O'Rourke added to the goal tally in the second half and the tireless Tom O' Carroll rounded off the scoring with a point after a well worked team move. This win confirms that the team finishes top of the group and will play Roscommon Gaels in the semi-finals at the end of next month. Training resumes this Tuesday on the pitch at 7 pm. Squad: Ted Brosnan, Cian Daly, Gary Daly, Brian Derwin, Eoin Egan, Pearse Frost, Donnacha Gately, Jack Gartland, Tommy Glynn, Mark Haran, John Leonard, Cian McBrearty, Billy McDonnell, Paul McGrath, Liam Martin, Eoin Minagh, Niall Murray, Adam Murtagh, Cathal O'Grady, Ruairi Smith, Seamus Smith, Daniel Sugrue, Ciaran Sugrue, Cathal Sweeney, Tom O’Carroll, Keelan Connor, Ian O'Rourke.
U-10s: There will be a small break in training for the U-10s, after which will mark the start of a busy period for the squad who will be facing into a busy schedule of games. This will include their next scheduled game in the Clann na nGael tournament against Athlone in mid-August. Players will be notified of the training this week.
