Feile na nOg Competition

Congratulations to the u14 boys who won the Division 3 Shield Final in Ballyhaunis on Sunday last. Well done to the players, management team, mentors and families. Everyone got behind this team to cheer them onto victory.

We would also like to congratulate the u14 girls team who were unfortunate to miss out on getting to the shield final after losing by two points in the semi final. The girls and mentors put in a lot of hard work and were unlucky not to bring home some silverware.

The Girls hosted Kilmore from Wexford and the boys hosted Killoe from Longford and both teams were an absolute pleasure to host and meet. We hope to continue the connection over the coming years and wish both teams the very best for the future.

We need to extend a massive thank you to all that helped out with the Feile weekend. Thank you to the Fas staff for having the clubhouse in excellent condition as always. Also we would like to thank the bar staff and the players parents for helping out all weekend as well as Marie Donnellan for feeding all officials and stewards and also thank all stewards for the long hours and hard work they contributed.

Finally a huge congratulations and thank you to the Feile committee for organising the whole weekend. This committee deserve great credit for the countless hours put into organising this weekend and for making sure everyone had an enjoyable weekend.

The whole weekend was a credit to the club and all involved.

U-14 Feile victory: A big congrats to the U-14 Feile squad who won the Division 3 Shield Final following a hard-fought victory over Wicklow side Tinahealy in the final on Sunday last at the Connacht Centre of Excellence in Ballyhaunis. The lads produced their best display until last to prevail on a final scoreline of 2-6 to 2-4. The players also showed fantastic character in the semi-finaI against Mountbellew after clawing back a four point deficit to win on a score of 3-2 to 1-4. It was a very busy weekend for the boys who played 6 games in total, all but one in Ballyhaunis.
