ST BRIGIDS MINOR COMMITTEE NOTES WEEK ENDING MAY 3RD 2015

Minor: Our minors drew their first round of the championship 1-10 a
piece against St. Dominic's last Friday night.

U-16s: The under 16s advanced to the final of the Division 1 league after beating Tulsk by 2-14 to 2-8. Team: Seamus Smith, Kealen Connor, Cian McBreaty, Gary Daly, Pearse Frost, Paul McGrath, John Leonard,
Niall Murray, Eoin Minagh, Donnacha Gately, Billy McDonnell, Oisin O'Reilly, Ciaran Sugrue, Brian Derwin, Tommy Glynn. Subs: Mark Haran, Shane Cunnane, Tom O'Carroll, Ian O'Rourke, Eoin Egan.

They will now play Clann na nGael in the final next Sunday. Time and Venue TBC

U-14s: The Division 4 play Roscommon Gaels at 7pm next Friday in Lisnamult.

U-12s: Well done to the U-12s for securing a double victory in the Spring League on Sunday last. In the Division 1 game against St Ciaran’s in Kiltoom, they recorded a comprehensive victory against a very competitive visiting side. It was a great team display all around and our goalkeeper Kevin Derwin must be mentioned in particular for
pulling off three outstanding saves during the game. In the Division 4 match in Ballinlough, it was a much tighter affair against Michael Glaveys but St Brigid’s put in a battling display to eventually prevail by three points, 5-5 to 4-4. There is a Division 1 game scheduled at home against St Dominics on Sunday next at 11 am.
