St. Brigid’s GAA Club Annual Golf Classic 

There is still time to enter a team so don't miss out, call today. 

The Hodson Bay Hotel sponsored St. Brigid’s Annual Golf Classic is on this Friday 18th July in Athlone Golf Club. 

This yearly event has proven to be an enjoyable day out for all patrons in the wonderful surroundings of Athlone Golf Club. If you would like to enter a team (timesheet in operation) or sponsor a tee, please contact P.J. Martin on 086-8053037 or 090 6494402.  Entry fee for a team of 4 made up of men/women or mixed is €200 with a meal included. Sponsorship of a tee is €75. We would like to thank everyone that supported this event in the past and hope that you will continue to support us this year.

 

St. Brigid’s GAA Multi Sport Summer Camp

Venue: St. Brigid's GAA Club

Date week 1:  14th - 18th July

Date week 2:  21st - 25th July

Time: 9.30 am– 2.00 pm daily

Activities: The camp will include a variety of sports and other fun activities.

Cost per week: 1st child: €50, 2nd child €30 and Subsequent €20.

Children must be of school going age

Senior Ladies Championship

St. Brigid's 3-13 vs Clan na nGael 1-9

Our senior ladies recorded another win in the county championship round stages over neighbours Clann. Despite a slow start our ladies dug deep and battled hard to secure this win.

Super Valu Kits for Clubs

Please continue to look for vouchers and put them in the St. Brigid's box in store. 

Throughout June and July Super Valu stores will be giving out vouchers with every €20 spent in their stores. In order for our club to available of the O'Neills training kit worth €1200 we need to collect 1000 vouchers. We are asking everyone that shops in Super Valu to please collect the tokens and pop them into the club boxes in store, so we can avail of this brilliant offer. Once again thank you for your continued support. 

 

Crime Fitness 

For women and men all fitness levels, it consists of Circuit training, Resistance training, Interval training, Military circuits and Endurance training. All newcomers are free on the first night and its 5 euro per session after that, pay as you go. Mondays and Thursday 7-8 pm in St. Brigids Clubhouse. ST BRIGIDS MINOR COMMITTEE NOTES WEEK ENDING JULY 13th 2014

Minors:  The RBK sponsored St Brigid’s minor team start their championship campaign against St Croans on Saturday next, July 19th in Kiltoom at 7pm. Hard luck to the Roscommon minors and the St Brigid’s contingent of Shane Mannion, Brian Stack, Luke Carty and Conor Murray in last Sunday's Connacht final in Castlebar.

U16: The Duggan Coaches sponsored U-16 team were scheduled to play St Dominic’s in Round 2 of the Division 1 championship on Monday, July 14thin Knockcroghery at 7.30 pm.

U-14s: The Homewatch sponsored U-14 team carved out a hard-fought win away to Strokestown on Thursday evening last in the Division 1 championship, winning by five points. A slow start left the team trailing by seven points in the first ten minutes but a good rally near the end of half brought them within a point of the home side. A much stronger second-half showing against a game Strokestown outfit ensured St Brigid’s recorded their fourth championship win on the trot. Their next championship game is against St Ciaran’s scheduled for next Saturday afternoon in Kiltoom. In the Division 4 championship game on Saturday morning last against in Kiltoom, the Homewatch sponsored St Brigid’s side had an easy win against Roscommon Gaels. Their next championship game is fixed for next Saturday afternoon at home to St Michael’s.

U-12s: Well done to the Millmount sponsored U-14s who have now qualified for the Division 1 final against Boyle. The game is scheduled to be played on Sunday next, July 20th. Time and venue will be confirmed during the week.

U-10s: The Sheraton Hotel sponsored U-10 will participate in another Go Games Blitz on Saturday next, July 19th in Fuerty. Other participating teams on the day are host club St Ciaran's, Clann na nGael, Roscommon Gaels and St Dominic's.

U8s: The O’Rourke Fireplaces sponsored U-8s have an upcoming Go Games Blitz on Saturday, July 26th in Knockcroghery. They will face teams from host club St Dominic's, Clann na nGael, Roscommon Gaels and St Ciaran's.
