St.Brigid’s GAA Club Notes 9th November 2014

posted Nov 10, 2014, 7:48 AM by Naomh Brid

Thank you

Where do you start?!! Very difficult to write. It wasn't our day and it can't always be our day. The lads battled hard and never gave up until the final whistle. We as a club want to thank everyone-players, management, backroom staff, sponsors, local media and supporters for the continuous commitment and dedication that you provide. It's being an unbelievable ten years and there is definitely more to come.

Please think of the players over the next few days and reflect on the training and travelling hours that each and every player puts in. Training is only a percentage of the preparation done by players, there's also gym work and physio to be accounted for and not forgetting what the players give up in order to give the commitment they do. There's a lot of families and partners that are extremely tolerant and supportive in this too and they too are to be thanked for this.

We truly have a fantastic team of players, they are an amazing bunch of lads to be involved with, a pleasure to deal with and an honour to say that this group of lads are our team.

We'll be back, we're just taking a break.

Best wishes to Ballintubber in the Connacht Final and thank you for a great game of football.
