U-16s: The U16 league game between St. Brigid's and Boyle due to be played on Sunday last in Kiltoom will be rescheduled.

U-14s: After returning from the Feile a week ago, St. Brigid’s U-14s got their championship campaign of to a double winning start this week. They played Oran in Kiltoom on Tuesday evening. In sweltering conditions, Brigid’s played some sizzling football to win the game on a scoreline of 8-11 to 4-4. Two days later on Thursday evening , the team played St. Ciaran’s in Fuerty. This was a hard fought game and there were some outstanding performances by both sides. The score line of were 7-18 to 2-7 was flattering in the end as St. Ciaran’s showed great determination in the first 50 minutes of the game.  However, Brigid’s pulled away in the last 10-15 minutes to win well. These two victories will help guide the U-14s in the direction of the county semi-final. However, there are two games left in the group stages which they need to win. It is important for this team to stay grounded and focussed and if they do, they have a great opportunity for success this year. Next game is on Thursday, July 18th away to Strokestown at 7pm.  Squad: Ted Brosnan, Matthew Cochrane, Cian Daly, Gary Daly, Brian Derwin, Eoin Egan, Pearse Frost, Donnachta Gately, Jack Gartland, Tommy Glynn, Mark Haran, John Leonard, Cian McBrearty, Billy McDonnell, Paul McGrath, Liam Martin, Eoin Minagh, Niall Murray, Adam Murtagh, Cathal O'Grady, Ruairi Smith, Seamus Smith, Daniel Sugrue, Ciaran Sugrue, Cathal Sweeney.

U-12s: The U-12s were defeated by Kilmore in Group  E of the U-12 Spring League last Wednesday. A challenge game against Oran is scheduled this week for some of the players who haven’t had match time for a while. Players will be notified of full details by their manager.

U-10s: St Brigid’s are scheduled to play two games in the Clann na nGael tournament this week. The first game is a rescheduled fixture away to Ballinasloe on Tuesday, July 16th while another away game against Tubbeclair awaits on Thursday, July 18th. Full details will be confirmed to players by coaches. In contrast to an aggregate score system in last year’s competition, the tournament is based on a points system this year with one point awarded for a win.

Coaching Camp: A very successful coaching camp for U-14s/U16s/Minors took place on Saturday last where many of the senior players generously gave of their time. Well done to all who organised the camp and to all those who took part. A big thanks also to everyone who helped organised and attended a very successful barbeque later that evening.
